Designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, Crossey Engineering provided the electrical and mechanical systems for the Robert C. Gillett Student Commons addition and renovation at Algonquin College’s Woodroffe Campus.
The building includes 123,785 sq. ft. of new construction, and 17,491 sq. ft. of renovated space, completed over two phases. A 700 seat auditorium, bookstore expansion, food outlets, student study areas, offices, meeting rooms, and a Native Canadian Centre were all incorporated into the new design.
